If your wireless sensor is in stand-alone mode ( connected directly to your home wifi ) then the firmware will update automatically. If your sensor is paired with a control unit, you will need to run a manual process to update the firmware:
1. Change it to online mode ( give it your home WiFi details ) by holding the button down until the LED stays on, then let go. Log in to sensor wifi network, then click to setup wifi. Add your wifi details and save.
2. Firmware will update, light will flash quickly while updating, then it will go out when the update is complete.
3. Confirm the firmware update by going back into the sensor control panel ( via it's wifi network ) and checking the value on screen.
4. To confirm the sensor is running OK, press the button and it will send a data packet to the server and give you a quick beep. 4 or 5 beeps indicates that the sensor has not managed to connect to the server.
5. If it was in paired mode before, set it back to paired mode by holding the button down until it starts flashing once a second, then let go. Control box does not need setting to re-pair as it will remember any paired sensors.
From firmware version 2023062700 ( 27 June 2023 ), the sequence of interaction with the sensor is a little different. This is to allow the tap controller device ( which uses the same firmware ) to have a quick and easy 'press to turn on' capability.
To enter manual config mode : hold down the button until the green LED starts flashing once per second, then let go.
Now you can follow the steps above from "Log in to sensor wifi network, then click to setup wifi. Add your wifi details and save."
Holding the button until it starts flashing faster ( after approx 6 second ) then let go. This is pairing mode.
Continue holding down for at least 9 seconds until the light is on with no flashing, then release, for no action.
