Accessing Control Panel in Offline Mode

My Wi-Fi is not strong enough to reach my greenhouse so I have opted for offline mode

However I connect to the HARVST-xxxx Wi-Fi, open a browser, type in 192.168.4.1 but it fails to connect and show the control on my phone.

I have to do a hard reset to get to the control panel to deliver interim water.

This cannot be right.

Ideas?

Thanks

Same here. Using the offline hard reset works but nothing else. Did manage to pick up the link from the control unit but it disconnected my phone from the internet and network.

Is this a new issue that’s developed for you both, or are you doing new installs?

I ask because I have a similar issue to yours that’s started in the last month or so - previously working for a year without issue. I wonder if related to a firmware push.

Relatively new install for me. Have set up the auto watering as I need but it’s a bit of an impedance given the current hot weather as my beds are not getting enough water at the moment and I need to manually reboot daily which I don’t think is right.

Hi folks
It's hard for us to pinpoint things which may be related to firmware and may be local network issues. If you can get your device online to update to the latest firmware ( 2025042900 ) which we believe to have no issues that would be great. In this release ( or one shortly prior to it ) we switched from 40Mhz bandwidth to 20Mhz which some customers have reported better connectivity on their networks, and one customer positively reports he no longer has to do a hard reset to get DCP ( Device Control Panel ) access via wifi.

How do you update firmware offline? Is there a step by step instruction to do this?

Hi Richard
Your box will need to be online to update firmware since it downloads the firmware from the internet.

Need to work on a fix to download a firmware update to phone and then update to control box in offline mode. I am nowhere near a wifi signal. My greenhouse is nearly 50m from my house wifi.

There are a couple of options; unplug the control box and bring it indoors for the update, or set up the box to connect to a wifi hotspot on your phone. The latter is a bit of a juggle but not too hard : ( go onto the box wifi, set your phone hotspot details, then go back to 4G connection and set up the hotspot, then reboot the box it should join your phone network and get internet )

Your box looks like it's already on 2025042900 Richard.
