Pump fails to self-prime

Early days in setting up. However, although it initially worked ok, the pump will not self-prime. Sucking on the outlet tube solves it …

Hi Alan - that's not something we've seen before. If the pump inlet is full immersed in the water it should be OK. Is it repeatedly not self-priming? I wonder if it's the first time the filter is taking a bit of time to fill with water...

I took off the extra hose at the top of the system. Now the elbow directs the water into the top tray. This may have solved it!
