I’ve just got my unit back after a repair, and set it up. This was fine initially but the unit beeps oddly on startup now and I can’t connect via Wi-Fi, and the connection seems unstable. The unit gives one long low beep followed by two short high beeps, and then repeats the sequence. I’ll give it 24 hours in case it’s battery charge related.
Is there a list of error codes I can consult to see what it’s trying to tell me?
Sound indicators form Harvst's Trouble Shooting page.
Fast beep, twice a second
Looking for WiFi network.
Slow beep, once a second
Unit is transmitting “harvst-wifi” and is waiting for you to connect and tell it your home network details.
Long single beep
Unit is booting in offline mode. Once ready, you’ll get a double quick beep.
Unit beeps high/low/high/low like a siren.
This is the low water alarm. The system is trying to water but either pump is not connected, or it’s pumping air. Sometimes the water pump needs priming after installation; give it a shake and it should start pulling water. Note that you have to have the water valves wired to the control unit, since they will need to open for water to be pumped through.
Rising tone
Waking up. Wait for the double beep which follows. This indicates the system is ready.
Falling tone ( opposite of waking tone )
Battery is low, going to sleep.
Some good setup info at link
Hope this helps.
Regards Paul
I think the unit was repeatedly trying to boot in offline mode, but the battery was so low it was causing complications. It's seemed better this afternoon ( stable wifi connection ), so my hope is it just a power issue ( it has reported the battery is very low, but the fact it's reported it is progress ).
